Maintenance Agent
We are a real estate and property management company looking for a full time maintenance worker who can compliment our team as we expand. Our buildings are spread across Montreal from Ville Saint-Laurent to Anjou.
Job description
Reporting to our property manager, the maintenance agent would be in charge of repairing all maintenance issues presented to them. They must be reliable, punctual and self-motivated with a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have adequate plumbing and electrical experience, as well as a high level of general repair skills for residential apartments.
Responsibilities:
Perform general repairs including plastering, painting, replacing door locks, silicon, minor plumbing repairs such as replacing faucets, minor electrical repairs such as replacing outlets and lights, and installation of kitchen appliances (fridge, stove, washer, dryer, dishwasher).
Collaborate with the team for successful management of maintenance tasks
Inspect buildings for maintenance and general management issues
Coordinate with specialists such as plumbers, and electricians when required
Ensure apartments will pass inspection for new move ins
Must be available on evenings and weekends for emergencies.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a maintenance worker or other similar position
Languages: English and French required, Spanish is a large asset.
Valid driver’s licence - Class 5, and a vehicle are required.
Own a set of basic tools
Ability to lift 40-50 lbs
Proactive, dependable, and detailed oriented with a keen eye for repairs and maintenance
Schedule:
9am-5pm, Monday-Friday
Overtime pay for emergencies outside of normal hours
